A bus tour was organized by Miyazaki University to introduce local international students to three companies in Miyazaki on December 20. Three of our international students participated and had wonderful experiences. This is what one of them had to say about his experience.

“I had a great time. At Michimoto Foods Co., Ltd., we learned that before radishes can be processed to produce pickles, they have to be stored for 1 year or more before they can be made into the yellow and white pickles that we eat. Then in Nikkiso Miyazaki, Co., Ltd., I learned how they produce the wings and gaskets for airplanes, and that their products are integrated into almost every airplane flown worldwide. Moreover, Nikkiso is a well-diversified company that also manufactures high performance, high-capacity liquid hydrogen tanks. They also produce medical equipment that make it easy for physicians to perform surgery more safely. Finally, at Kyoritsu Denki we were educated on how transformers and lighting, such as street lights and residential light fixtures, are made, and on the configuration of transformers, feeder pillars, and so on in a variety of their products. It was a valuable educational experience.”  — Umeojiaka Chibuzo Paul
