The mission of CLEAR is to stimulate research, education training and shared professional practices. We are also striving to cultivate a community (online and in situ) which offers a broad range of resources for local educators.

Teacher training and Faculty Development

CLEAR is a clearinghouse for up-to-date language and education resources. Additionally it provides outside faculty development including workshops for ALTs as well as in-service teachers.

Continuing/Lifelong education

CLEAR sponsors a variety of courses several times a year (in both English and Japanese) to meet the needs of the local community. Future projects are aimed at creating online courses as well.

Receiving your MIC username/password

Through CLEAR’s online resources, primary, secondary and tertiary level professionals can have access to the latest theories and practices relating to education and language learning. In addition to this CLEAR offers opportunities for cooperative educational research projects.

Language Education

Intensive English Camps, and other kinds of English learning related experiences for community members of all ages can be coordinated by CLEAR.
